Autumn Songs

When I did a post the other day about my excitement for the arrival of autumn, a lovely reader by the name of Katie asked me to include some music inspiration for the season. "Great idea!" I proclaimed as I slapped my knee and did a little jig.

The following are tracks that either explicitly reference Fall or simply remind me of it. Spoiler alert: there will be a 1960s Halloween song...and no, it's not the one you're thinking of, but still, feel free to skip it. Also, this is a really mellow playlist for the most part, so don't use it as your get-psyched-workout-mix.

My Fall Playlist

What are some songs that remind you of autumn? I'd like to add to this playlist.

Now it's time to introduce you to another one of my sponsors. This one, folks, is a gem!

Meet Katie from Something Winnderful

Blog--Bloglovin--Facebook--Twitter--Instagram--Pinterest

Katie is a hilarious, bright, puppy-having woman who lives in Greenville, South Carolina. She first had me hooked when she created this post about making your own laundry detergent. WHAT?! You can actually do that without it being a total disaster?! Needless to say, I will be keeping a giant vat of this stuff in my linen closet.

She's also got a wonderful fella in her life, and she has some tearfully funny posts that chronicle the joys of the engagement season. I especially love this one about what not to ask a newly engaged woman

Her blog is also chock-full of delicious recipes and wisdom on fitness. Also, she has a dog named Gatsby, and he is everything.

Go right now and show some love to Something Winnderful (cutest title ever). You'll be glad you did!

  2. I posted this back in 2011. http://www.redletterdayact.blogspot.com/2011/10/fall-or-autumn-music.html

It's come up a lot because there was a big debate at my place of employment on whether or not there was such a thing as "Autumn Music." I said that of course there is! I like that we both include Nickel Creek. I didn't make a playlist, just artists that I think sound Autumn-like. Great post!

  3. Thanks so much for the playlist! I love listening to Pete Yorn, Josh Groban & Birdy for fall. What books do you like to read in the fall or are very "fall-ish"?
